Speeding Up Your Loan
A common reason for delay in getting a loan approved is that all the questions on the loan application weren’t answered or some responses were unclear. To speed up the process, make sure you fill out the form completely, answering all questions about employment, salary, assets and debts. Include account numbers for your savings, investments, other loans, and charge cards. If there is something in your credit or work history that you know will cause a problem, attach a note to yours application explaining the circumstance. Most of all, be honest. Lenders are very reluctant to deal with applicants who stretch the facts about their finances.

Choosing Money Market Accounts and Funds
Trying to decide which money market deposit account (MMDA) or money market mutual fund (MMMF) offers the best deal? You’ll have to look beyond the advertised interest rate. Depending on Various factors, one account may be far superior to another even though both tout the same rate. Ask your banker or funds manager what the effective yield is on the account and how often interest is compounded- daily, monthly, or quarterly. There are also other factors to consider: Some MMDAs cut the interest rate if your balance drops below a certain minimum amount, and MMDAs and MMMFs sometimes charge fees- either on a monthly basis or as a percentage of your investment. Ask about restrictions on withdrawals- how many can you make, and for what amounts- and how long you must leave a deposit in the account before withdrawals are allowed.

Your Nest Egg
Some so-called experts advise that the only savings reserve you need is the ability to borrow enough money to cover your expenses for three months. That’s absurd; everyone needs a savings nest egg in case of an illness, job layoff, or other mishap that could leave you without steady income. A good rule of thumb to follow is keep the equivalent of three months’ take-home salary in a savings account that you can cash in quickly without losing any of your investments. Cycling Guide
When the weather makes outdoor exercising anything but a pleasure for you, try moving inside with a stationary bike. It’s great for runners, bikers and skiers. Turn on your stereo or plug in your headphones and spend the same amount of time exercising inside as you usually do outside.
Cold weather cycling can be made much more comfortable by a trip to your local ski shop. Ski gear is designed for breaking the cold wind you’re likely to face when winter cycling. A knit ski mask with a vapor permeable membrane will protect your face from icy winds but won’t get soggy as you breathe hard during exertion. It should fit closely enough to allow you to wear your normal helmet on top. You can also check out Road Bikes, Mountain Bikes, BMX Bikes, Comfort Bikes and some more. It is time for you to have fun and enjoy to the core.
Making Your Own Yearly Financial Statement
Just as corporations must print out yearly financial statements showing their assets, liabilities, and net worth, so should your family. You can usually get a blank personal financial statement from your banker. Fill out a new one every year. Tax filing season is a good time to do it since you have your financial papers collected in order to do your tax return. Just total all the money you bring in from salary, investments, and debts owed to you, along with the value of assets such as your home and life insurance policies. Then total all your debts- mortgage, car loan and other bills. The difference between the two is your net worth. Now, not only do you have the information on which to make your financial plans for the year, but with a few minor updates, you’ll always be prepared with a current statement if you need to borrow money. Lenders require them.
