Pay attention to these arrows

Your toaster is probably marked to indicate which slot to use when toasting just one piece of bread. But does it really matter which side you use? Yes. The temperature gauge is usually located on one side whether there should be a piece on that side whether or not the other side is being used.
When a cookie recipe tells you to roll cookie dough into a ball, use cooking spray on the palms of your hands first. The dough won’t cling to your fingers.
Use clear plastic wrap to cover blender buttons. The wrap catches the spatters, and you can still see the buttons. Throw the wrap away when your are finished.
