Newspaper stops fridge odors
If you are having extra difficult time with refrigerator odors, stuff the shelves with wads of newspapers. Put a bowl of water on top shelf. Also sprinkle newspaper with water. Allow refrigerators to run five or six days. This usually works well with strong odors.
Use kitchen scissors (a pair you use only for food preparation) to cut pizza, sandwiches, raw bacon, chicken, and stew beef. The scissors work much faster than knives. For an easy, imaginative main dish, cut two hot dogs lengthwise, and then dice. Add to a can of baked beans or a bowl of macaroni and cheese.
